At the Violin Factory, we’re aware of our duty to address the environmental and social impacts of holding events. This is why our venue was created with sustainable and eco- friendly principles in mind. From the materials we used to build the house to the suppliers who help us with events, we’re committed to protecting the environment.
For example, long before single-use plastic became an issue, we installed an on-site water filtering system, which has already saved an estimated 200,000 plastic bottles. We have smart meters and our electricity comes from 100% renewable sources. Our expert team is always on hand to offer advice and options to help you meet your own green goals with minimum effort and to maximum effect. They’re happy to discuss specific requirements and, in conjunction with our caterers, they’ll endeavour to meet your environmental and social objectives.
All our caterers are carefully selected, not just for the excellence of their food, but for their commitment to sustainability. Wherever possible, their food and drink is locally sourced.
The Violin Factory is on London’s South Bank, a stone's throw from Waterloo Station and its fantastic public transport connections. We have a simple “Getting here” section on our website to give you the best options.
We offer free WIFI throughout the venue, so you can keep as much information as possible online. All of this has earned us a Gold award with Green Tourism. We know that working towards a sustainable future is ongoing, so we continually assess what we’re doing to ensure that our venue does not come at the expense of our planet.
